Open door sensor beeping malfunction common

We love the refrigerator however many have commented that the door open sensor malfunctions. We cannot seem to find any support to permanently disconnect the beeping sensor.

Love the size and look of this simple refrigerator and freezer. Purchased in June 2021. The day before Thanksgiving 2021 the open door sensor malfunctioned and WOULD NOT STOP BEEPING. Then the automatic ice maker stopped worker. Its under warranty so a repairman came out and deemed the item non-repairable. And now...no word on the final outcome.
